Theme Days!

I've decided that with kids and people in general it's fun to celebrate to a THEME.

A week ago we got the cousins together for SNOWMAN theme day where we made grilled cheese sandwiches we tryed to stamp into the shape of a snowman, made snowman out of marsh mellows, pretzels, frosting, and m&m minys, and a reese p.b. cup head all pure inspiration from my Aunt Martha,

Made snowman art crafts with construction paper, and a bottle of shaving cream (whip cream would be fantastic and a more edible option as well!)

played in the snow inside our house with a plastic table cloth on the ground, a bucket of snow, and made miny snowmen

salt dough - let the kids make their own snowman w/o getting their hands cold

So why not - Let's all add a little THeME to our life

when can we get together for another fun filled theme day?

this little one's snowman didn't say tall for long - I think her's had a few heads and several sets of eyes and buttons as we noticed they were a tasty treat!

enjoy your Thanksgiving Week

a great opportunity to make crafts with feathers, leaves or items from nature

-put toothpics on an apple and let your children stack cheerios and fruitloops on them as feathers! What a cute clever name tag idea.

Join me next week so we can make Ice cream Ball ornaments with sprinkles, red licorice, and p.b. cups that I found from a magazine!

We could even make soup and grilled cheese sandwiches!

Homemade Pizza's and Bats

Come to the Olson's house to make Bat ornaments, and enjoy miny pizza's.
time: noon

We discovered the bat ornaments were a little too advanced for the 2 year olds, but the pizza's were a hit. Made from Frozen Rhodes Dough!

Smiley Face Pizza:

Rhodes dinner rolls or Texas Rolls thawed to room temperature

pizza sauce

cheeder cheese grated

mozzerella cheese slices

olive slices, pepperoni, green pepper

Spray counter lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Flatten one Texas roll or two dinner folls combined into a 5-6 inch circle. Place on a sprayed baking sheet. Prick several times with a fork. Pre-bake at 350 degrees F for 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven and top with pizza sauce and grated cheese. Bake an additional 10 minutes or until cheese in melted. Remove from oven and add the face. Round eyes cut from mozzarella slices and topped with olive slices. Pepperoni for nose and eyebrows and a piece of green pepper for the mouth. Use your imagination and your favorite ingredients to make lots of different faces.
