3rd Saturday's of the Month

every 3rd Saturday the UFMA [Utah Museum of Fine Arts] has free crafts at 2 PM for the children. Olivia enjoyed making a Beetle Kite, and loved using the pastels which flowed much more freely than her typical crayons! I might have to look into this art medium - however another knowledgeable mother told me that they can stain clothing.
Before you begin your craft the Children are taken to a different spot in the musuem to browse real art for inspiration. It was fun to have Olivia look at Chinese art, and to find a flower, and a man, and simple colors from a docent. She did a good job at trying to capture a 23 month old's attention.

Anyways - hope to see you for the next months up at the museum. There is parking across the street and it's located right on the U of U campus, near the Institute Trax Station as well.

Saturday Sept. 13th Valley View Park Day

Let's meet at the park.
10:00 a.m.
Saturday
It is directly east of us and I love how the slides are kid safe, and you can even gate your kids inside so they can't escape.

Located off of 2000 E. and aprox. 3600 S.
It is directly South of Evergreen Junior High or I find it best to take a left on 2000 East off of 3900 S. and follow that road, past the crazy 4 way intersection and it's directly on your left.

October craft!

My mom has a great photo of a Frankenstein pail that you paint green and trim with fuzzy material along the top and add the gogglie (sp?) eyes. I saw this tin cat and it came close to my vision and thought it'd be fun to make these too.

Fun to make the first week of October. Let me know that day/times are best for you.

If so be tracking down your pail or start eating a bunch of your food storage (he he)

We could all be in charge of bringing one simple component.
