3rd Saturday's of the Month

every 3rd Saturday the UFMA [Utah Museum of Fine Arts] has free crafts at 2 PM for the children. Olivia enjoyed making a Beetle Kite, and loved using the pastels which flowed much more freely than her typical crayons! I might have to look into this art medium - however another knowledgeable mother told me that they can stain clothing.
Before you begin your craft the Children are taken to a different spot in the musuem to browse real art for inspiration. It was fun to have Olivia look at Chinese art, and to find a flower, and a man, and simple colors from a docent. She did a good job at trying to capture a 23 month old's attention.

Anyways - hope to see you for the next months up at the museum. There is parking across the street and it's located right on the U of U campus, near the Institute Trax Station as well.
